Globacom, the Official Integrated Telecoms Partner of Manchester United in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic, has offered its subscribers a rare opportunity to travel to England to watch the  English Premier League live at the Old Trafford, Manchester United’s home. The offer tagged “Recharge and go to Old Trafford†is one of the goodies in the partnership between Globacom and Manchester United which was launched Thursday at a colourful ceremony in Lagos. The offer will give 70 Glo subscribers a real, live experience of the Old Trafford. All a Globacom subscriber needs to do to stand a chance to live the Old Trafford dream is to recharge his or her Glo line with N200, N500 or higher denomination of recharge cards. The telecoms giant said that the more a subscriber participates in the promo, the better his or her chances of winning. A subscriber that charges his or her phone with N200 denomination gets one entry while a subscriber that charges his or her phone with N1000 denomination gets five entries. Glo will draw 70 lucky subscribers made up of 14 subscribers per match, from the pool of subscribers participating in the promo, to travel to England in an all-expenses-paid trip to watch five home matches of Man U. The five matches include Man U versus Fulham on March 14, Man U versus Liverpool on March 21, Man U versus Chelsea on April 3, Man U versus Tottenham Hotspur on April 24 and Man U versus Stoke City on May 9. “This experience will further bond the fans with their favourite teams. This year is also special because it coincides with the centenary celebration at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams “, said Mr. Charles Jenarius, Globacom’s Regional Director (West Africa), Marketing Communications at the launch ceremony. “What Globacom is offering is unprecedented and once more, the company is living up to its principle of connecting the people with their passions, especially in footballâ€, Jenarius said. According to him, it is a rare opportunity for the 13.5 million fans of Manchester United in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic and other Glo subscribers to have a feel of the Premier League match at the Old Trafford and cheer their favourite club, not in front of their television sets, but right there at the stand inside the stadium.
